Opening sequence
Pavitrikaran & Achaman
The family's primary member is purified with sacred water and three sips of achaman before the rite.
Tilak & Rakshabandhan
Tilak is applied and protective mauli tied on the right wrist of the yajman.
Dik Rakshan
Yellow mustard is offered to the four directions to secure the puja space.

Important Note
Per the Narwar parampara, this puja does not include a structured paath recitation count (such as 11 paath); instead, the Ramayan Mangalacharan and Ram Stuti are recited as part of the central rite. For Ghar Par Puja, the family arranges the Ram Darbar murti set, the Ramayana book, the kheer and tulsi patra, and the hawan kund (where the Hawan add-on is opted in).
