What Is This Puja?

Ganesh Puja is one of the most widely performed household deity rites in North Indian families. Ganesh ji is the first deity invoked in any puja - the remover of obstacles, the bestower of buddhi, and the divine witness who must be honoured before any auspicious work. A standalone Ganesh Puja is the rite where Ganesh ji is worshipped in his own seat, not merely as the opening invocation of another puja. The ritual moves through purification, sankalp, the central pujan of Ganesh ji with full vidhi-vidhan including the Shodashopachara and 11 paath of the Ganapati Atharvashirsha, propitiation of Gauri as Riddhi and Siddhi, and the formal offering of modak as naivedya. At SiddhiStar, the puja is performed at home, or as an Online Puja with the pandit performing live from Narwar Dham while the family joins live from home. Your gotra and Kul Devata are recorded at booking. The base puja takes approximately two hours, with Hawan offered as an optional 30-minute add-on at the time of booking.

Tilak is applied and protective mauli tied on the right wrist of the yajman.

Yellow mustard is offered to the four directions to secure the puja space.

SiddhiStar Samagri Policy
The SiddhiStar Anushthan Samagri required for the puja is included in the puja price. The family may choose to receive the samagri at home before the puja date, or arrange the required items themselves from a local kirana store or home delivery app. Either option is honoured equally. The Anushthan Samagri is provided for convenience and standardisation, and is not a separate charge or a ritual necessity. Hawan Samagri is separate from the Anushthan Samagri and is available as an optional add-on at an additional charge. If the family opts for a Hawan as part of the puja, the applicable Hawan Samagri will be included and charged separately.

Important Note

The puja includes 11 paath of the Ganapati Atharvashirsha as the central recitation. Additional paath (10 per additional pandit) may be added on request at booking. For Ghar Par Puja, the family arranges the Ganesh ji murti, the modak and naivedya items, and the hawan kund (where the Hawan add-on is opted in).
