What Is This Puja?

Satyanarayan Puja is one of the most widely loved household rites in North Indian families. Drawn from the Skanda Purana, it is performed in gratitude for a wish fulfilled, in observance of a family vow, or as a recurring Purnima ritual that brings the household together. The puja moves through purification, sankalp, invocation of Ganesh ji and Lakshmi ji, the worship of Satyanarayan Bhagwan, and the heart of the rite - the narration of the five-chapter Satyanarayan Katha as the family gathers to listen. It closes with aarti, panchamrit, and prasad. At SiddhiStar, the puja is performed at home, or as an Online Puja with the pandit performing live from Narwar Dham while the family joins live from home. The base puja takes approximately two hours, with Hawan offered as an optional 30-minute add-on at the time of booking.

Pavitrikaran & Achaman

The family's primary member is purified with sacred water and three sips of achaman before the rite begins.

Tilak & Rakshabandhan

Tilak is applied to the forehead and protective mauli tied on the right wrist of the yajman.

Dik Rakshan

Yellow mustard is offered to the four directions to secure the puja space.

Understanding the sequence helps you participate meaningfully rather than merely observe. The five-chapter Katha narration is the heart of the rite and is the same in both Ghar Par Puja and Online Puja modes.

SiddhiStar Samagri Policy
For Online Puja, the SiddhiStar Samagri Kit (Block 1) is included by default, as the pandit performs from Narwar Dham with the kit ready. For Ghar Par Puja, the kit is offered as an optional add-on at booking - the family may receive the kit at home before the puja date or arrange the Block 1 items themselves.

Important Note

The Parampara tier is not offered for this puja, as the katha narration requires Sanskrit proficiency available at the Gurumandal and Visheshagya tiers. For Ghar Par Puja, the family arranges the Satyanarayan Bhagwan murti or shaligram, the Katha book, and the kheer or naivedya ingredients.
