Ritual Flow

Opening sequence
Pavitrikaran & Achaman
The family's primary member is purified with sacred water and three sips of achaman before the rite begins.
Tilak & Rakshabandhan
Tilak is applied to the forehead and protective mauli tied on the right wrist of the yajman.
Dik Rakshan
Yellow mustard is offered to the four directions to secure the puja space.

Important Note
The Parampara tier is not offered for this puja, as the katha narration requires Sanskrit proficiency available at the Gurumandal and Visheshagya tiers. For Ghar Par Puja, the family arranges the Satyanarayan Bhagwan murti or shaligram, the Katha book, and the kheer or naivedya ingredients.
