What Is This Puja?

Kaal Sarp Dosh Puja is the traditional graha shanti observance for Kaal Sarp Yoga - the natal chart configuration where all seven planets are positioned between Rahu and Ketu. The rite is performed when an astrologer has identified the configuration and the family wishes to observe the parampara-prescribed shanti. The puja moves through purification, sankalp, invocation of Ganesh ji and Sheshnag, the central jap of 21,000 Rahu and 21,000 Ketu mantras (42,000 in total), the worship of Rahu and Ketu through traditional offerings, and the symbolic release of a silver or copper naag pratik into flowing water. At SiddhiStar, the rite is performed at home, or as an Online Puja with the family joining live from home. The base puja takes approximately two hours, with Hawan offered as an optional 30-minute add-on at the time of booking.

Tilak is applied and protective mauli tied on the right wrist of the yajman.

Dik Rakshan

Yellow mustard is offered to the four directions to secure the puja space.

Understanding the sequence helps you participate meaningfully rather than merely observe. The 42,000-mantra jap is completed within the rite through the Narwar 1+6 pandit model; the naag pratik visarjan is performed by the family post-puja.

For Online Puja, the SiddhiStar Samagri Kit (Block 1) is included by default, as the pandit performs from Narwar Dham with the kit ready. For Ghar Par Puja, the kit is offered as an optional add-on at booking - the family may receive the kit at home before the puja date or arrange the Block 1 items themselves. The silver naag pratik is arranged by the family in both modes.

Important Note

A silver or copper naag pratik is required; it is worshipped during the rite and released by the family in flowing water such as the Ganga or any other river after the puja is complete. SiddhiStar's pandit will guide the family on the visarjan procedure. The rite includes the prescribed 42,000 mantra jap (21,000 Rahu + 21,000 Ketu), conducted by the Narwar 1+6 pandit model.
