Parashuram Is Not a Historical Figure: Why He Still Walks the Earth

In Hindu tradition, seven beings are held to be Chiranjivi - those who do not die and who continue to live across all four yugas. Hanuman is one. Vibhishana is another. Parashuram is the third.

This is not metaphor. The Vedic tradition holds that Parashuram is still walking the earth right now, in this very moment, carrying the Brahmastra mantra that he was given by Shiva at the beginning of his lifetime. Some traditions claim that the great living teachers of each generation have, at some point, encountered him.

Why This Matters for the Baglamukhi Tradition

If Parashuram still lives, then the Parashuram root of Baglamukhi mantra is not historical inheritance only. It is potentially being refreshed by the original teacher in each generation. The Sanatkumara root that the Narwar Dham parampara holds also includes Sanatkumara - who, like Parashuram, is held by the tradition to be eternally present.

This is what the tradition means when it says the maa baglamukhi chain is unbroken. The chain is not just a sequence of teachers. The original teachers themselves are still considered present, still considered able to refresh the knowledge.

What This Implies About Mantra Power

A mantra received from a fully living source has different weight than a mantra picked up from a book. When the Sanatkumara mantra reaches you through a Narwar pandit who received it from his own teacher who received it through the chain - what you are receiving is not stored knowledge. It is currently-being-transmitted knowledge.

This is the precision of why a SiddhiStar baglamukhi puja matters in a way that a self-taught mantra recitation does not. The chain that holds the baglamukhi mantra is not historical only. It is alive.

Book a Baglamukhi puja from a fully alive parampara. Narwar Dham.
